Bagpipe music for every occasion
The Scottish great highland bagpipe (GHB) is a traditional and emotional instrument with a long history which goes back several centuries. The first many years of the GHB history is connected with the Scottish clans and the military.
In the last century more and more civil bag pipe bands have emerged and the GHB is today mostly known for concerts, pipeband and solo competitions.
I have played the GHB for almost 20 years and have participated in the Danish and Scandinavian championships as well as the World championship with Aarhus Pipes and Drums. I receive tuition from Bruce Gandy of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Canada. Bruce Gandy is one of the world’s most successive solo pipers.
Bagpipe music is a festive element for every occasion like weddings, birthday parties, Christmas parties, whiskey tastings, and corporate functions as well as funerals.
The price for a performance with bagpipe music, and some talk about the history of the GHB and the uniform (if wanted) is agreed on depending on the type and length of performance. I will perform in traditional Scottish uniform and my kilt is in the tartan Black Modern Stewart. A typical performance is 15 min. If you have special wishes concerning the music this must be agreed in good time before the performance.
